Practical guide
Pixels, points, and millimeters behave differently in Excel
Excel's Normal view does not express every dimension in millimeters: row heights are shown in points and column widths use a character-based unit. That means a pixel-to-mm result should not be pasted directly into the standard Column Width box.
For physical layout, switch to Page Layout view and select millimeters as the ruler unit. For a worksheet calculation, keep pixels and DPI in separate cells so the formula remains auditable when values change.
